Hoa Khanh Nam Campus

With five different campuses, everything that is needed at a university can be found at Hoa Khanh Nam Campus. For example, the amazing 3.5 hectare Hoa Khanh Nam campus comprises two football fields, four badminton courts and basketball and tennis courts, for sports matches, physical exercise and practicing national defense.

After-class activities are also abundant, including the small Ponsty Coffee shop, which spice up students’ lives with great activity, when hospitality students practice their cuisine skills there.

The DTU film studio is nearby. In 2019, the Silver Swallows Studio presented their first historical documentary about the first aerial battle involving the Vietnam Air Force, which took place in Hanoi in April 1965. The film was screened in movie theaters nationwide, by the CGV, Galaxy and BHD theaters. It was produced using 3D and the latest filmography techniques. If you are interested in filmmaking or arts in general, few universities have better facilities to study filmmaking than DTU.

In addition, three modern libraries, with 100,000 titles in Vietnamese and English, are readily available to the 25,000 students. There is also an electronic library with millions of important documents from Vista, Springer, Proquest and tailieu.vn, accessible day and night.

Modern laboratories and practice facilities

DTU’s technology and engineering campuses are internationally accredited by ABET, for Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Management Information Systems. The design, construction and layout of DTU’s diverse laboratory facilities are considered the best in Vietnam and can be visited at any time to motivate you to choose to study at a leading hi-tech university.

  • The Electrical Engineering and Mechatronics labs are equipped with the latest, imported technology for students to implement their new ideas. Several “Made at DTU” products have already been created, including an electric wheelchair for the disabled, a weld-checking robot for shipbuilding, a table-waiting robot, a robot that guides pedestrians across the street, a smart-bed and so on.

  • Electronics & Communication, Embedded Systems, and Electric Automation use CNC machines, hydraulic press brakes, universal lathes, electronic thermometers, UR3/5 industrial robotic arms, network practice systems, network war simulators, and access DTU data centers.

Architecture and Civil Engineering students breathe life into their creations

Many female students are now excelling in technology and engineering studies, especially in Architecture, Civil Engineering and Interior Design. A broad perspective and a steady hand are vital requirements in the creation of hardy and attractive new buildings.

Space dedicated to IT

As the leading university in Information Technology in Central Vietnam, DTU provides 1,300 computers, including, iMacs and 150 laptops, free broadband and a $3 million data center. In 2019, the resulting startup projects and the ISITDTU white-hat hacker team were rated number one in Vietnam by CTFTime. Touring the training areas, Biotechnology, Food Industry and Environmental Engineering can be seen dressed in white, operating complex multi-million-dollar equipment, like centrifuges, real-time PCRs, AB 3500 sequencing machines, MaxQ 8000 shakers and DNA and protein electrophoresis systems.

Biotechnology, food industry and environmental science students experiment

However, it is quite straightforward to safeguard the students and all the expensive equipment, because Vietnamese and foreign researchers are always present to supervise and support the students in their experiments.

On-campus hospital

DTU’s MedSIM area acts as a miniature hospital, with all the necessary equipment the General Practitioner, Odonto-Stomatology, Pharmacology and Nursing majors require. As well as traditional medical equipment, robots are used to simulate injections, infusions, blood transfusion and dissection and the most expensive robot there is worth $150,000.

DTU Health Science doctors, researchers and lecturers have made great achievements, including:

- Past: first prize in the 2017 Vietnam Talent Awards and a 2018 Sao Khue award for a 3D human anatomy application
- Present: in 2020, the eCPR, a cardiopulmonary resuscitation first aid training system, just received a Sao Khue award for the DTU-Vent version 2.0, a ventilator that integrates noninvasive and invasive ventilation for Covid-19 patients

Technology, engineering, IT, medical, and pharmacy students are provided with all the experimental equipment they need. At the same time, management, accounting, hospitality, social sciences and humanities students, comprising the largest percentage of the university, are similarly motivated to focus on both theory and practice, to ensure that graduates can avoid retraining at the beginning of their careers.

Model restaurants, hotels, law courts and banks

The Mini-Hotel training center, at 59, Ha Bong in Danang, contains kitchens for food and beverage preparation, a restaurant for waiter training, rooms for housekeeping training and a reception area. DTU graduates chefs, bartenders, receptionists, room service and management staff and, throughout their studies, Hospitality and Tourism students benefit from a professional and stylish work environment.

DTU law, management, accounting, banking, social science and humanities students can also train in the latest practice rooms, such as the virtual accounting room, the simulated bank, the ERP practice room and the moot court. They also visit and intern at the 300 government agencies and companies that DTU partners with in the Danang area.

Arts, culture and sports

“Study and relax all you can” is the DTU student motto. At the Center for Arts and Sports, students develop their artistic talents and have won big prizes through the years, especially in student talent and beauty contests. The university also houses many student clubs to develop skills, such as the guitar, karate and the Vovinam clubs. DTU is also famous for regularly winning Central Vietnamese college and university football championships.
